My former business partner, the late Robert L. Woodfork Jr. used to say, "Sony, I've got to do this with a vengeance."  Meaning it is a do-or-die situation.  The economic time at hand requires this same type of strong will or decisiveness.  However, we are not calling anyone to take arms to combat this unemployment problem.  Oh No!  It has been said long, long ago by an unidentified author, "if life hands you a lemon, make some lemonade."  Circumstances have dropped a sour lemon called unemployment in our mouths.  And, regardless of our ranks, we have experienced it or we know someone who has suffered, who is suffering bitterly or who will suffer ultimately from this sour taste.  It appears that we have been hit by the devastating punch of a super heavy weight bigger than all of us, and the question is, will we ever bounce back up from this blow?  We are laid flat on our backs and the countdown has started, can we jump up by sheer determination? Can we be lifted back into the fight on our own?  Or are we to wait for a good Samaritan to save us by the bell?  The recovery Act is doing its best, but, we are still flat on our backs.   At this stage of the fight, needless to talk and complain or point fingers about the devastation, despite the well-known inherited causes.  We have seen national unemployment reach the double digits figure during FY10.   Yes, we have revisited the 70's in our Country and to be more specific, the era of the Great Depression of 1929 also.  Only this time some of the elements are slightly different.  First of all, we are in year 2010 and this inherited mess today has triggered the collapse of the Stock Market on September 29, 2008 which, for the first time in American history, has brought the DOW JONES INDUSTRIAL AVERAGE (DJIA) to its lowest drop in one single day reaching a low, exceeding 1000 points during session, or to be more precise, on or about 3:00 p.m., and closing slightly better at 777 down.  The DOW was knocked DOWN flat on its nose.  The worse fall ever in American history.  I can bring some very discouraging stats here, yet to no avail; for, while this makes good politics, it is not a cure. This crucial time at hand demands another kind of action; A Synergistic action, where the sum total of us all cannot be compared to anyone individual or single institution taken independently.  We must move together to restore the glory of America.   

However, I call your attention to the American spirit.  An always resilient, hopeful, and bouncy spirit which cannot quit even when there is no options left around or behind.  Today, it is no different.  The solution is not found around us, or behind us but within us and ahead of us.  Now, talk is cheap and can be very depressing at times.  Therefore, we will move right into our proposition to engage in the fight instead of pontificating useless rethorics.
